Those will always bump up the statistics - I could get nerdy and talk about incidence and prevalence, but you've summed it up in your post. Viral STDs are not generally reportable diseases, so they have historically been left out of the stats. More often you hear "chlamydia is the most common STD among young people" - but really it's the most common reportable STD. The viruses will get you! Thanks reading!
